With Paris Saint-Germain superstar Neymar being heavily tipped to join Real Madrid, Cristiano Ronaldo has now responded to the rumours.
The Brazilian is said to be a transfer target for Los Blancos, although many believe the 26-year-old is likely to remain at PSG for at least another season.
A few Real players, including Marcelo and Casemiro, have said they would welcome Neymar at the Santiago Bernabeu, while the forward’s former FC Barcelona teammate Lionel Messi has suggested it would horrible if he did join Zinedine Zidane’s side.
Ronaldo has now addressed the transfer rumour, saying that most players who are linked with Real rarely end up signing for the club.
“At Madrid, there is continually talk of signings,” he said, according to Marca.
“I have been here eight years and they are always talking about 50 players that are going to come, and in the end none come.
“In September, a lot of players are going to come, and then in the end those who reach the finals are always the same.”
Real will take on Liverpool in the UEFA Champions League final on Saturday, and Ronaldo will be looking to add to his tally of 44 goals for the 2017/18 campaign.
