Based on the amount of rumors we’ve come across recently, it’s pretty clear that is getting ready to launch its big screen smartphone soon. Recent leaks have confirmed the smartphone to come with a bezel less design and feature the interface. Now, a new report suggests the smartphone to launch in mid-September.
According to a launch teaser received by Androidpure, Xiaomi is planning to launch the Mi MIX 3 on September 15. The launch date makes sense, as Xiaomi had unveiled the smartphone’s predecessor, the also in September last year. However, the website does state the possibility of the launch taking place only in China.
While most of the things mentioned on the launch teaser are written in Chinese text, it does come with an image that showcases the device’s extremely thin bezels around the screen. Based on previous rumors, Xiaomi Mi MIX 3 is likely to features a screen-to-body ratio above 90 percent. It is said to be on the same lines of the Oppo Find X and the Vivo NEX smartphones.
At the moment, we haven’t got a lot of information on the specifications, but the smartphone has been touted to come with a premium set of hardware, including a Snapdragon 845 SoC running the Adreno 630 GPU. It is also said to support Qi Wireless charging through a new Xiaomi wireless charger, which the company is rumored to launch alongside the smartphone. While there are expected to be multiple RAM and configurations, the premium variant is said to come loaded with 8GB of RAM and 512GB storage.
A recent leak has also suggested the Xiaomi Mi MIX 3 to support MIUI 10. It will most likely be based on Android 8.1 Oreo OS. Not just that, the device is also expected to come with a dedicated AI button, placed on the left side of the smartphone. Earlier renders have also touted an in-display fingerprint sensor. Now, with the smartphone set to launch in September, you can expect more rumors to surface in the coming few weeks.
