A senior Communist Party of China (CPC) official said Wednesday that the CPC would continue to work with Burkina Faso’s People’s Movement for Progress (MPP) to advance the relationship between the two countries.
Huang Kunming, a member of the Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee and head of the Publicity Department of the CPC Central Committee, made the remarks when meeting with an MPP delegation led by its acting chairman Simon Compaore.
He said the CPC would work with the MPP to build a new type of inter-party relationship featuring seeking common ground while setting aside differences as well as mutual respect and mutual learning based on the one-China principle.
For his part, Compaore said the resumption of diplomatic ties between Burkina Faso and China was in line with the historical trend. Burkina Faso hopes to further strengthen the relationship between the two parties, promote cooperation in various fields, and further develop the Burkina Faso-China and Africa-China relations.
