Honor Magic 2 with 8GB RAM spotted at launch on October 31


Honor Magic 2 has been spotted on Geekbench, as the phone will be launched in China on October 31. As per GizmoChina, the Geekbench listing appears soon after the Honor phone was found on TENAA. Honor Magic 2 will be the first smartphone from the Huawei sub-brand to run Android Pie out of the box, for which the company has also confirmed the Kirin 980 SoC.
According to the Geekbench listing, Honor Magic 2 will come with an 8GB RAM option, that will offer 256GB of internal memory. The Honor phone, listed with model number TNY-AL00, is shown to have an octa-core processor with base frequency of 1.8GHz.
With the 8GB RAM variant, Honor Magic 2 has received a single-core score of 3316 and multi-core score of 9534. This adds to the TENAA listing of the phone, seen having model numbers TNY-AL00 and TNY-TL00. Though it did not reveal any details regarding the processor, it confirms that Honor Magic 2 will also be available with 6GB RAM and 128GB of internal memory.
Honor Magic 2 will feature a 6.39-inch FullHD+ AMOLED display, with a screen aspect ratio of 19.5:9. The phone can be expected to ship EMUI 9, that had been showcased at the global launch of Huawei Mate 20 series. Honor Magic 2 is expected to have a 3D face scanner, an in-display fingerprint scanner as well as a manual slider, that could house the front camera. The phone will be backed by a 3400mAh battery, that will come with fast charging support.

On the camera front, Honor Magic 2 is slated to have triple rear cameras in a 16MP+24MP+16MP configuration. There will be a 16MP front camera paired with time of flight (TOF) sensors. Honor Magic 2 will be available in four colur variants: Black, Blue, Red, and Silver.
