The Ebonyi State APC gubernatorial candidate, Senator Sonni Ogbuoji has expressed optimism that given the performance and good standing of the APC, the party will coast to victory in the polls next year even at the presidential level.
Ogbuoji made this known Saturday prior to the flag off the presidential campaign Sunday that will see President Muhammadu Buhari as incumbent contenders.
He said since election is about counting on performance of an incumbent, Buhari has done well and deserves re-election.
He enjoined Nigerians to vote en masse for Buhari to enable him continue with his outstanding works.
He also called on Ebonyi to vote APC at all levels even in the gubernatorial election where he is a major contestant.
The gubernatorial hopeful reiterated his assurance to the people of Ebonyi State, especially the government employees, of his vow not to renege in paying the N30,000 minimum wage or any amount the governments eventually arrives at in their negotiation with the organized labour unions.
Ogbuoji above all tasked Nigerians to shun electoral violence, vote buying and inducement and vote conscientiously to oust bad governments especially in Ebonyi where the governor has privatized governance and needs to be voted out for a government to be led by him that would be for all citizens to participate in and benefit from.
