Nigeria’s National Council for Arts and Culture (NCAC) has lauded the Communist Party of China (CPC) on the 100 years anniversary of its founding, describing the party as the major factor for China’s rise to greatness today.
A goodwill message of the NCAC signed by the Director General, Otunba Segun Runsewe hailed the political party’s sense of leadership that has led to the growth, expansion, influence and global reach of China as a superpower and hub of the world economy.
“There is no gain saying that the CPC has been the decisive socio-political force behind the development of the modern China Republic, as well as being key to strategically positioning China as a major player in world economy, security and technology development,” Runsewe said.
The NCAC also said that since China’s phase of Reforms and Opening up in 1978 through revolution, reforms and reconstruction, the CPC has constantly and consistently led the Chinese people through the dynamics of change and has managed to address the fundamental issues thus forging important internal and international policies for growth.
“The country has achieved significant and remarkable results, the gains of which are far reaching, even being of impact to Nigeria through the course of our socio-political and economic engagements over the past 50 years.”
The NCAC was particular about the robust, beneficial and impacting exchanges it has enjoyed with the Chinese counterpart agencies and foreign mission in Nigeria.
The DG also assured China and the CPC of the resolve of the NCAC to continue with a friendly, gainful and lasting relationship with the country, the party and all its organs related to the promotion of cultural relations.
