
The Eko Hotel events hall, Lagos last Sunday evening was fully packed with disgnitaries and awardees at the 26th edition of the Zik Prize in Leadership.
Many prominent Nigerians attended and also received awards including the Lagos State governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu, the Nasarawa State governor, Mr. Abdullahi Sule, the Group Managing Director of the NNPC, Mele Kyari, and many others.
However, the former Senate President and ex-Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Senator Anyim Pius Anyim stood out among the rest.

Anyim, the last to be called out to the podium for the conferment was introduced as the big masquerade that dances last.
After the award was presented to him by the Emir of Kano, Aminu Ado Bayero, Anyim presented a speech on behalf of all the awardess wherein he called for the rededication of Nigerian leaders to service like the late Great Zik, Dr. Nnamdi Azikiwe, first president and Governor-General of Nigeria did.


Anyim also had an array of well-wishers who celebrated with him.
