Amid the biting nationwide fuel scarcity and the queues at the fuel stations, the Nigerian National Petroleum Company (NNPC) has again assured Nigerians of adequate supply and product availability.
A statement from the company signed by the Group General Manager (GGM) Public Affairs, Garba Deen Mohammed on Friday told consumers that it is working with government agencies, depot operators, and transporters of petroleum products to make sure that supply is sustained.
“NNPC is intensifying efforts to resolve distribution hitches experienced in some parts of the country due to logistic issues.
To this effect, NNPC is engaging depot operators to load products round the clock to accelerate the restoration of normal distribution.
NNPC has also engaged the services of government security agencies to ensure that all products loaded get to the right destination.”
The company urged Nigerians to exercise some patience as the hitches would be cleared soon with the sustained efforts and normalcy expected very in a few days’ time.
