APC to pick presidential candidate on May 29/30


The All Progressives Alliance (APC) has issued a new timetable for its primary elections for all elective offices.

The timetable twitted on the official handle @APCNigeria slated the presidential primary and national convention of the party to hold on May 29 and 30.

The event will start on May 29 and end the following day, May 30, Monday.

That commences just as the national convention of the rival PDP comes to an end Sunday morning.

The event would be the last of the scheduled primary elections contained in a timetable signed by the National Secretary, Felix Morka on May 18.

It noted that “The National Working Committee of the APC on Wednesday, May 18, 2022, approved an adjusted timetable /schedule of activities for the governorship, State House of Assembly, House of Representatives/Senate and presidential primaries and appeals.”

The primary election for governorship and House of Representatives holds Thursday, May 26, Senate and State House of Assembly, Friday, May 27.

On 27th and 28th May, the appeals sitting to reconcile disputes arising from the two batches of primaries that were held on 26th and 27th  will take place.
