As part of the ongoing Mobilization of investors and businesses for the upcoming South East Business and Investment Summit, I recently led a team of SEBIS leaders to address members of the Enugu Sports Club 1929. The special occasion which took place at the Cinema hall of the club attracted a large number of members and their friends especially businessmen and investors in parts of South East Nigeria.
Enugu Sports, established since 1929 used to be an Exclusive European Club providing sporting and recreational facilities for the Civil Service of Eastern Nigeria and such other Government establishments like the Coal Corporation and the Railway Corporation.
The Club which is one of the oldest Sports Clubs in Nigeria has grown to become an elitist club of top businessmen and government leaders.
The interactive meeting afforded SEBIS the opportunity to discuss with top businessmen and Investors, the plans for the Summit and the Post-Summit strategies to stimulate and remake South East as an Economic Powerhouse.
The high point of the meeting was the unanimous endorsement of the Summit and the decision of members to fully participate at the Summit.
