The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has declared former Bayelsa State governor, Timiprey Sylva wanted in connection with fraud.
A public notice published by the Commission and signed by Dele Oyewale, Head, Media and Public noted that the hunt for Sylva is sequel to a warrant of arrest of a Lagos High Court issued on November 6.
It indicated that the former minister and APC chieftain is wanted in a case of alleged conspiracy and dishonest conversion of USD14,859,257 part of fund injected by the Nigerian Development and Monitoring Board (NDMB) into Atlantic International Refinery and Petrochemical Limited for the construction of a refinery.
EFCC’s publication said that Sylva is a native of Brass Local Government Area of Bayelsa State.
The notice directed people with a clue to Sylva’s whereabouts to get in touch with 13 of its offices, including Abuja through a phone number 08093322644
