China and the US shared eight of the world’s 10 highest cities in innovation and enterprise incubation.
While the US had five of the 10 slots, China took three spots.
In the list, Beijing, Shenzhen, and Shanghai featured in the Global City Entrepreneurship Incubation Index, China News Service reported.
The index, which evaluates major cities based on incubation potential, performance and ecosystem, was released by the Entrepreneurship Research Center on G20 Economies as well as the School of Economics and Resource Management of Beijing Normal University.
The index aims to provide a systematic, objective, authoritative and forward-looking evaluation for these cities, serving as a barometer that reflects the development of global cities’ entrepreneurship and incubation.
